Ok....day 4 with our new english bulldog, Brick, and he is awesome! I cant express enough how great of a dog he is! He is so mellow and loving. He has such quirky ways of showing you what he thinks! Like when he really really wants to get up on the couch, but knows that he cant...he will throw himself on his back and wiggle around...its very quiet...but so funny because he is throwing a mini little toddler tantrum! He loves touching his nose to yours. He really does give actual hugs, and he only kisses when the opportunity arrives! (not a huge licker...which is nice!) He HATES to be slobbery! He will go get a drink, then he will wipe his mouth on the carpet or on his own arms to get rid of the slobber! It is so funny! A bulldog who hates being slobbery!
He has had a chance to meet all the kids in the neighborhood and loves each one of them!! He can sense which ones really like dogs (like him) and which ones dont, which means he is VERY attracted to Eli and Nadia! Wyatt too...but Eli and Nadia are just little dog whisperers!
I guess this blog is mostly an update for my own memory! Im so happy with the choice to go ahead and get him! He is even already potty trained and he loves his crate! The biggest problem we have with him is his desire to jump up on you. It's not a full on "crazy bulldog jump up" its just a "hi, Im Brick, can you hug me please?" kind of putting his front legs on you. We are working on that for sure, but sometimes it's SO tempting to just love on him when he does that because he is just too darn cute!
Ok...enough bull! LOL!! (come on...you knew there was a pun in there somewhere!)
